RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said that an investigation of a victim being shot at from a moving vehicle led them to the home of the suspect in the incident where drugs were later seized.

On Tuesday, law enforcement with Hoke County and deputies with the sheriff’s office served a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Clan Campbell Drive. Investigators said at the time the search warrant was conducted, Harry Gadson and Shakiyla Taylor were present.

During the search warrant law enforcement on the scene found 15 pounds of marijuana, MDMA, crack cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and money.

Also located in the home and vehicles were seven firearms, three of which were stolen from other jurisdictions, according to the sheriff’s office.

Gadson was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and charged with:

  • Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill,
  • 7 counts of possession of a firearm by felon,
  • 3 counts of possession of a stolen firearm,
  • trafficking marijuana,
  • possession with intent to sell and deliver (PWISD) MDMA,
  • PWISD of schedule I,
  • PWSID of cocaine,
  • and child abuse.

He is currently being held at the Hoke County Jail and placed on a $175,000 secured bond.

Taylor was taken into custody and charged with trafficking marijuana and two counts of child abuse. She was placed on a $2,500 secured bond.
