58-year-old woman surrenders peacefully after gunshot reported in Marion County home

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — The Marion County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a report of a shot fired inside a home, Saturday at 6:00 a.m.

MCSO Swat responded to the 4800 block of Buffalo Drive SE after one of the people involved refused to exit the home.

Officials say that deputies were able to get the involved 58-year-old female to surrender peacefully.

“There were no injuries during this incident and investigators are continuing to process the scene. Due to this being an active investigation, no additional information is available at this time,” officials said in a press release.
