A New Jersey woman was seriously injured in a crash that sent a school bus into a ditch in Geneva, Ontario County, on Monday afternoon, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

The crash occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on County Road 6 and Billsboro Road. Deputies said that Ingrid Crane, 64, of Hardyston, New Jersey, who was driving west on Billsboro Road, failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection and drove into the front end of a northbound Geneva City School District bus.

Crane's sport utility vehicle struck the front end of the bus, operated by Cassandra Powers, 44, of Waterloo, Seneca County, deputies said. Powers, a bus monitor and three children were on the bus and were all evaluated at the scene for minor injuries, deputies said.

Crane suffered internal and head injuries and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight for treatment.

She was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign and unsafe speed, according to the Sheriff's Office.
