We all want a happy ending, whether it is in our lives or in the lives of the characters we watch on our screens. When it comes to television and films, there is nothing like seeing things end on a good note as opposed to when there are heartbreaking endings. Now, as The Bad Batch nears its finale, we will soon find out if things end well for the clone troopers or not.
The third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch was released on the twenty-first of February and with just one episode remaining, the show will have its series finale today. Fans are desperately hoping for the show to have a happy ending just like in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.
Will The Bad Batch End Tragically?
In just a few hours, fans of Star Wars will get to know what was written in the fates of the members of The Bad Batch. As the fifteen-episode-long season comes to an end, the excitement amongst fans is quite high and so are their worries.
The finale of Dave Filoni‘s The Bad Batch will mark the ending of The Clone Wars era and there is a huge chance that the final chapter will end in tragedy for the clone troopers. Needless to say, there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a fan-favorite character meet his demise in the finale, and while we hope that the entirety of Clone Force 99 walks out of the show alive and well, we are afraid that at least one of them would be dying in the finale and it could be Echo (Dee Bradley Baker).
Echo was one of the most important clones in the Clone Wars before The Bad Batch rescued him from Skako Minor. His death in the series finale would be a poetic way of severing the connection to the Clone Wars. The Bad Batch saved Echo from death’s grip and their story would come full circle should he decide to sacrifice himself in the end to save his friends.
Additionally, Omega (Michelle Ang), Crosshair, and Hunter’s fates are also hanging by threads. If the finale of season two was any indication, fans should brace themselves for a tragic ending. However, there is no harm in holding out hope, is there?
Fans Hope for a Happy Ending for Clone Force 99
There is no time for speculations and theories as fans are just about to get all the answers. Those who are absolutely in love with the members of Clone Force 99 are hoping, against all odds, that the series will end on a positive note.
On X, a fan tweeted that they were hoping for a more Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3-like vibe for the series finale. GOTG3 had its fair share of emotional moments and fans were basically sobbing throughout the film. However, the film redeemed itself by giving a happy ending to everybody.
Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord goes back to his family, Drax becomes a father and protector of the star children, Gamora comes back to the Ravagers, Rocket leads his own Guardians squad, and Mantis sets on a journey of self-discovery. While everyone thought that at least one Guardian would die in the film, GOTG3 proved that you don’t need to kill off important characters to make an impact on the audience.
Now, fans of The Bad Batch are hoping they took a page out of the MCU film’s book. Take a look at what they had to say about the approaching finale.
