Folsom Lake Crossing roadways remain closed Sunday night as officials continue to investigate a two-car accident that killed two people, Folsom Police Department said.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m., just east of Folsom Auburn Road. Police said the vehicles involved were a Toyota and a Ford Mustang, but the events leading up to the accident are unknown at this time.
Two other victims were transported to area hospitals with moderate injuries. According to the Folsom Police Department, the accident does not appear to be alcohol related.
