Gaffney to celebrate opening of orthodontics/dental office

A new orthodontics and dental office in Gaffney will celebrate its opening Thursday.

Nease & Higginbotham Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry of Gaffney will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Thursday at the newly constructed office at 111 North Gate Road, Gaffney. The event is sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.

The 8,000-square-foot offices houses both professional businesses in a condominium-style arrangement.

Nease & Higginbotham Orthodontics was founded in 1973 by Dr. Phil Higginbotham. Dr. Eric Nease joined the practice in 1999. In 2008, they opened a Gaffney office on Hyatt Street. Growth prompted a need for larger space.

Dr. H.J. Turner III founded Pediatric Dentistry of Spartanburg in 1980 and Pediatric Dentistry of Gaffney in 2011. His son, Jensen Turner, joined the practice in 2012.

They provide specialized pediatric dental care, including routine cleanings, exams, restorative dentistry, sedation dentistry and hospital dentistry.
