A firefighter who sustained injuries while battling a house fire in Sedamsville Thursday night was treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.
The fire started shortly before 9 p.m. at a two-story house in the 2600 block of River Road, according to emergency communications.
When crews responded they found "heavy fire" in the first floor of the house, according to emergency communications.
A 911 caller told officials a person might be inside, but after containing the fire crews told dispatchers everyone was out.
Shortly after that, a medic unit was dispatched for an injured firefighter, according to emergency communications.
River Road was closed while crews investigated.
