HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg woman is celebrating her 100th birthday.

Lillie Mae Leggett turns 100-years-old Sunday, but her family and friends hosted a birthday party for her Saturday at the Earl Travillion School.

She was born in Toomsuba, Mississippi, but has lived in Palmer's Crossing since 1958.

In addition to gifts and lots of hugs, Leggett was also recognized with a proclamation from the city of Hattiesburg.

Leggett has 14 children and plenty of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
