He told Phil: "I have to apologise to you because we went out one night and I had a few too many and I gave you grief.

"I'm sorry Phil – I even nicked your mobile phone, I was trying to hide your mobile phone and Ant McPartlin was wrestling me for it, so I apologise."

But it seems, the actor who's currently promoting his debut album, could have gotten away with the incident as Phil revealed he was too drunk to even recall that part of the night.

Phil responded: "You're forgetting one thing – I can't remember a thing about that!"

And despite apologising for his drunken antics Bradley, 56, was quick to deny he'd been drinking during a recent Sunday Brunch appearance.

The star stole the show as he clowned away on set leading viewers to ask if he was still drunk from the night before.

But he told Holly Willoughby and Phil: "I had about three hours sleep and a load of caffeine.

"The guys on The Chase will tell you, if I have caffeine it send me a bit cranky - I’m like galloping like a maniac.

"But I had to drink coffee to stay awake."

Bradley added: "I went home and slept for about 10 hours."

He explained that he'd been at a charity fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation until 3am in the morning.
