Movie patrons in central Pennsylvania will soon be able to enjoy a movie in a recliner with leather seats, and a swivel table for food and beverages that can be served to you right at your seat.
Reel Cinemas Lancaster, a seven-screen, 24,227-square-foot, 630-seat movie theater is planned for the Main Street retail component of The Crossings at Conestoga Creek in Manheim Township next spring. Patrons will be able to order food and beverages at the Brewpub Café before, during and after movies. The bar will offer a wide variety of beverages, including craft beers, wine, and handcrafted cocktails. The menu will include items such as brick-oven pizzas, gourmet salads, wraps, as well as traditional concession items.
The movie theater will employ about 20 to 25 positions in the operation of the theater and the Brewpub Café. Six of the auditoriums will have about 85 seats and one will have about 120 seats. Reel Cinemas reserved seating tickets will be available online. And patrons can also order and purchase food and beverage online as well. Discounted tickets will be available for children and seniors. The theater will host birthday parties as well.
The Crossings at Conestoga Creek in Manheim Township is an open-air development combining retail, multi-family residential and hospitality components. The Crossings has 90,000 square feet of retail, 258 upscale apartment units, and the first Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Lancaster County. The $120 million development is being developed by High Real Estate Group LLC.
Reel Cinemas will complement 65,000 square feet of retail and dining on Main Street, as well as a 120,000-square-foot Wegmans which anchors The Crossings. Wegmans opened on September 23. Miller’s Ale House, a casual sports restaurant and bar, opened October 15. A spring 2019 grand opening is planned for the Main Street tenants.
