These intellectually gifted and artistically talented students will be invited to complete an online state-level application by Jan. 4. The semifinalists selected from that group will have the opportunity to interview or audition at Berry College on Feb. 23. Finalists will be announced on March 29.

Upon acceptance, the finalists will participate in an elite four-week summer residential program at Berry College starting on June 16, 2019. Students will attend classes in the mornings and afternoons in specific areas of study and discover life-changing instructional opportunities not found in a traditional classroom.

Berry College is a small, private liberal arts school in Mount Berry, in Floyd County just north of Rome and west of Adairsville.

“We are pouring additional resources into this program because it’s proven to provide students with unique academic, cultural and social enrichment opportunities, which will all serve as good preparation for post-secondary work,” said Paula Camp, the Governor’s Honors program coordinator for the Bartow County School System, in a statement.
