Tom Brady Not Talking About Injury; Listed As Questionable

Brady was listed on the team's injury report as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — What is the state of Tom Brady's throwing hand? Is he going to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC Championship Sunday? Officially, you're not getting any more than the injury report.

The Patriots quarterback, appearing in a hoodie and gloves on both hands, refused to take any questions on the state of his right hand during his press conference Friday, which lasted a little more than four and a half minutes.

"Not talking about it," Brady said multiple times when asked about the hand, what he did at practice Friday or what happened at Wednesday's practice session.

When asked if he was ready to go for Sunday, Brady replied: "We'll see."

Brady answered some questions about the Jaguars defense and his relationship with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels but remained tight-lipped about the state of his hand. Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald reported Wednesday that the quarterback jammed his throwing hand after someone accidentally ran into him at practice. An x-ray showed no structural damage. Sources told Mike Reiss of ESPN Thursday that Brady's hand should be ok.

Brady left the podium in the middle of a question, saying, "He said two questions, see ya," referring to the final two-question warning given by a Patriots Media Relations official.

Head coach Bill Belichick was also silent on the injury, telling reporters that any updates will be in the injury report.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola told reporters that he believed he caught some passes from Brady during Friday's practice session, confirming that the quarterback took part in at least a portion of the workout.

Brady appeared on the injury report as limited in practice on Wednesday and did not participate in Thursday's session. Thursday and Friday, Brady was seen during warmups with gloves on both of his hands.

In the final injury report before Sunday's game, Brady was listed as questionable, with limited participation at Friday's practice. As noted in the report, a player is listed as questionable when it is uncertain if the person will play.

Here's the good news: there have been reports that Brady did throw the ball in practice and was alright.
