No one injured after two trucks collide in Polk County

Oct. 12—No injuries were reported after two trucks collided outside Euclid, Minn., Monday night, Oct. 11.

Deputies responded to a report of a crash in the Keystone Township just before 11 p.m., according to a release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, a beet truck driven by Joshua Schumer, 25, and a box truck driven by Noah Habermann, 22, were both driving southbound at the intersection of 340th Avenue Southwest and 130th Street Southwest when the box truck attempted to pass the beet truck, and the beet truck attempted to turn left.

When the two trucks collided, the beet truck sustained minor damage, and the box truck sustained severe damage. Habermann was cited for passing in a no-passing zone, according to law enforcement.

The crash remains under investigation. East Grand Forks Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance and Minnesota State Patrol assisted with the crash.
