YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A man who was wanted for the alleged sexual battery of a minor in York County has surrendered to authorities.

The York-Poquoson’s Sheriff’s Office said in June Ronald Smalley, 30, was faced with charges of felony aggravated sexual battery of a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Those charges stemmed from an incident that allegedly happened June 30, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Thursday that Smalley turned himself in at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail on July 17.
