A wanted man was arrested after being pulled over in Vallejo, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Rafael Acosta, 20, of Benicia, was taken into custody over the weekend after deputies found he had five warrants out for his arrest, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were patrolling when they pulled over a suspicious car at the intersection of Sandy Beach Road and Porter Street in Vallejo. They searched the car and found that Acosta had an illegal handgun, the sheriff’s office said.
Acosta told deputies that he had found the gun along Sandy Beach Road, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies then discovered that there were multiple warrants out for Acosta's arrest. He was then taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said.
