Word on the street is that Jeff Schwarz, a Wall Streeter who turned chef and yogi, will not be back in the kitchen at the Crow's Nest next summer (he will, however, finish out the current season). Schwarz had been behind the stove since he opened the place with hotelier and restauranteur Sean MacPherson last summer. Although people generally think the food has been great, one rumored reason for the ouster is that Schwarz was unable to make the kitchen profitable.
However, Guest of a Guest is reporting the staffing change as "not true."
But regardless of his future at the Crow's Nest, Schwarz is planning on opening a version of his Montauk-based Love: A Yoga Studio on 39th Street and 7th Avenue in November.
