Grammy-award winner Johnny Rivers and "America's Got Talent" alum Jackie Evancho highlight the State Theatre's 2015-16 lineup.

Officials of the Easton theater announced the schedule for the new season Wednesday.

Tickets go on sale in August.

Other performances in the new season include David Sedaris, Rockapella and Elf The Musical.

Evancho, a 14-year-old vocal phenomenon, is known for her breakout 2010 performance on "America's Got Talent." She'll perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Evancho has been signed by Columbia Records and her 2011 performance in a PBS special was one of the most pledge-producing events in the public broadcast network's history. Her newest release, "Awakening," is a crossover between classical compositions and contemporary styles.

Rivers, a two-time Grammy winner, is known for hits "Secret Agent Man" and "Mountain of Love." He'll perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

Three-time Grammy-nominated humor writer David Sedaris will hold a lecture and question-and-answer session at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15. The writer is known for bestselling books including "Barrel Fever" and "Holidays on Ice."

The a cappella group Rockapella will bring its internationally acclaimed singing act to Easton in a holiday show at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. The holiday season will also feature returning acts such as Jimmy Sturr and the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker.

Family-oriented acts coming to the theater this year include "Elf the Musical" and "Annie." "Annie" will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. The newly adapted musical "Elf" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 10 and 11.

Jamie Balliet, the theater's senior vice president, said organizers are delighted and excited to welcome all the acts this year.

Rivers, Evancho and "Elf the Musical" appear to be among the hottest tickets and this season's diverse lineup will offer something for everyone, Balliet said.

On Northampton Street in Easton, the State Theatre is a nonprofit organization and memberships are tax-deductible.

Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre members on Tuesday, Aug. 4. They'll go on sale to the public Tuesday, Aug. 18.
