Majora's Mask

There is something about The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask that continues to intrigue fans years after its initial release. Jared Potter is the individual responsible for directing, producing, editing, and writing a creative short live action movie that follows Skull Kid before the beginning of the game.  This extremely well done prequel adds to the already staggering amount of fandom following the Majora’s Mask. This movie appeared for the first time on the Machinima website earlier today adding to the already staggering reputation of the site.

To accompany this short live action movie are a number of informational posters about The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. All of these come from Did You Know Gaming? Which is a site that posts information about video games in the form of pictures and videos. If these interest you feel free follow the link at the bottom of the page to take you to the site, they have a lot more information about the Zelda series than shown here.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

The city of Clocktown has banished a local imp from their lives not knowing that their actions will create a villain bend on their destruction. A villain that never intended to be a villain. The concept brings up questions some may be asking or may have asked in the past.

What goes on in the life of villain? What about the thoughts that drive them to such extreme tasks that they become know for? This live action short from Jared Potter depicts the life of Skull Kid before he became the unexpected legend that drew the moon towards the earth.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

Those familiar with The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will see multiple set pieces immediately recognizable. In addition, many of the sounds come straight from the game. The experience is so closely tied to the original content of the game that it is hard to disagree with how accurate it is. This live action prequel is an amazing nod to fans of the series.

This movie gives the unlikely character Skull Kid a little background and craved insight into the life of the villain before he turned villain. The concept is one only lightly touched upon in the game and holds a lot of interest in the community that found so much enjoyment in the game.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask

Nintendo is currently receiving a lot of attention to the Zelda series. The last Nintendo direct showed a trailer for a title in development called “Hyrule Warriors” and the last released Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has gained extraordinary reviews and attention. This film is simply the icing on the cake.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a Zelda game set far apart from the ordinary feeling normally associated with the series. This live action short about the infamous Skull Kid offers an interesting peephole into the life the mask and the individual that fell prey to its temptations. Jared Potter and cast have done a spectacular job of making this short serious and legitimate. Hopefully the quality of such fan made love creations maintains as strong of quality as this one does.
