Expand and Deliver: Adam Ant squeezes a fuller frame into his highwayman costume as he takes to the stage for tour
The highwayman costume is just as dandy. But after 30 years, it may be a tad tight.
The cap still fits, however, and so at 58, Adam Ant is back on the comeback trail.
The 1980s heartthrob is performing a series of shows across Britain as part of his Blueback Hussar Tour.
The buttons are busting: Adam Ant took to the stage in his legendary The Highwayman costume as he performed in Manchester as part of the Blueblack Hussar Tour
These days he doesn’t bother with the white make-up stripes that he used to daub across his face at the height of his stardom. They’d only get all blurred by his new glasses anyway.
But the cap Adam Ant appeared on stage more than 30 years after he described himself as the Dandy Highwayman and once again called for fans to ‘stand and deliver’.
Gone is the slim physique and chiselled jawline that made him a star in the 1980s.
Not quite the heartthrob he used to be: The 58-year-old singer looks a lot different to his appearance in his heyday
Giving it his all: The performer didn't let his age get in the way of putting on an energetic show
Appearing at the Manchester Ritz as part of his Blueblack Hussar Tour 2012, the 58-year-old, real name Stuart Goddard, wore glasses, looked several stone heavier and fuller in the face.
The singer, who has long battled with bipolar disorder, made his name in the eighties and bedded thousands of besotted women from Jamie Lee Curtis to Carole Caplin.
Adam has six more dates on his tour which will see him play across the UK as well as venturing over to the Netherlands.
Belly's going to get you: Adam was sporting somewhat of a paunch
Rocking out: Adam performed some of his greatest hits including Stand and Deliver
