X-Men beast Rebecca is a beauty

We know her as somewhat reptilian. But Mystique the mutant from the comic book blockbuster film X-Men is set to make us shiver again in the $100million sequel X-Men 2, which goes on worldwide release today.
But the scary yet sexy sci-fi looks created by make-up and special effects mask the model-girl features of Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, 30.
Daughter of a Dutch furniture maker, the 5ft 11in actress has graced the catwalks for Christian Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada and Victoria's Secret, but said her XMen role is "the coolest thing I've ever done".
She added: "The most difficult part was the amount of time for which I was poked, prodded and painted in places I never expected."
She is happy to be a sex symbol: "There are people who choose not to do anything sexy at all, but for me, being sexy is a very feminine quality to have... I'm proud of my sexuality."
