Federal authorities say a convicted sex offender who had previously faced charges in Iowa has been arrested in southwestern Arizona.U.S. Border Patrol agents from Wellton Station say they arrested 27-year-old Jose Panchillo Castro on Saturday near Dateland.Following his arrest, agents say they learned of Castro's conviction during a records check.Authorities say Castro had previously been arrested by Columbus Junction police in Iowa for solicitation of lascivious acts with a child and he was deported from the United States.Border Patrol officials say Castro has been turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office for prosecution.It was unclear Monday if he has a lawyer.
