Walker County crash kills Nauvoo woman

NAUVOO, Alabama -- A single-car crash about 11:03 a.m. Monday killed a Nauvoo woman and injured a 6-year-old child in the car, Alabama State Troopers report.

Tina Alexander, 27, died when her car left Alabama 5 a half mile east of Nauvoo in northwestern Walker County and struck a tree. Her passenger, Hunter Alexander, was airlifted by helicopter to Children's of Alabama hospital in Birmingham.

No additional information on the condition of the girl or other accident details were released by troopers, according to Trooper Charles J. Dysart.
