The exes of rappers 50 Cent and DMX, NBA player Lamar Odom and mobster Phillip Caruso will star in Starter Wives (working title), a TLC reality series that will begin production later this month.

Produced by NOLA, the four x 60-minutes series is due to premiere on the American cable network in early 2013. The show will follow seven celebrity ex-wives and ex-girlfriends who met their former husbands and boyfriends before they made it big and are now working on starting over on their own.

The cast members are Zakia Baum, ex-girlfriend of rapper Jermaine “Maino” Coleman; Cheryl Caruso, ex-wife of mobster Phillip Caruso; Josie Harris, ex-girlfriend of boxer Floyd Mayweather; Monica Joseph-Taylor, soon-to-be ex-wife of DJ Aston “Funkmaster Flex” Taylor; Tashera Simmons, ex-wife of rapper Earl “DMX” Simmons; and Shaniqua Tompkins, ex-girlfriend of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Cheryl and Phillip Caruso previously starred in I Married a Mobster on sister network Investigation Discovery.

Earlier this week, the cable net ordered four episodes of Totally T-Boz (working title), a John Doe Media-produced docu-series that follows Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins from the R&B girl group TLC as she moves from Atlanta to Los Angeles with the goal of rekindling her music career.
