Lisa Polizzi nails Whitney Houston’s signature love ballad, “I Will Always Love You,” which she sings with a great deal of charisma and melisma. Her vocal range is quite versatile, especially her whistle register.
Equally powerful is “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes, where she displays tremendous lung power as she belts out the high notes in the chorus.
Polizzi also does a solid cover of Led Zeppelin’s classic rock hit “Whole Lotta Love,” where she showcases her inner rocker.
Her talent is not only limited to the pop and rock genres of music. She delivers on Carrie Underwood’s Grammy-winning country hit “Before He Cheats,” as she sings it with sass.
Fans of The Cranberries will love her cover of “Zombie,” where she lets her harking voice do all the talking. Singer-songwriter Dolores O’Riordan, who originally wrote the song, would be proud.
In 2014, Polizzi was voted one of the winners for “Best Singer from Long Island” in the “Best Of Long Island,” and this year, Polizzi and her band, the Lisa Polizzi Band, earned four nominations in the Arts and Entertainment categories.
