St. Patrick's Day 2018: Party In Fredericksburg

The 16th annual Jeff Fitzpatrick St. Patrick's Day Parade winds up with a festival featuring live music, food and, of course, beer.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—Befitting the let-your-hair-down nature of St. Patrick's Day, here's an event the combines some of the more enjoyable aspects of the holiday. It's the 16th annual Jeff Fitzpatrick St. Patrick's Day Parade, and it winds up with a festival featuring live music, all manner of food and, of course, plenty of beer.

The parade begins noon Saturday at Joseph Mills Drive and Main Street in Bowman's Industrial Park. Among the participants will be fire trucks, classic cars, high school marching bands, community organizations, Irish dancers, horses, military equipment and local pageant winners.

At the end of the route is A. Smith Bowman Distillery, 1 Bowman Drive, where the celebrating begins anew at the festival. Here's a list of what's on tap, as it were:
