The Rolling Stones guitarist purchased the penthouse in 2014 but decided to part with it just a few years after that

The Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards has managed to sell his Greenwich Village a little over two years after he first listed it on the market. Variety first reported on the sale of the penthouse, which closed for $9.95 million, which is just about $2 million less than its most recent ask of $12 million.

Richards and his wife Patti Hansen first listed the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in 2016 for $12.23 million. That was just two years after they picked it up for $10.5 million. Keith and Hansen themselves scored a $4.5 million discount on the property when they picked it up, but they weren’t satisfied with it long enough to stick around.

The penthouse is part of the swanky Art Deco apartment building at One Fifth Avenue, which is located just a block away from Washington Square Park.
