Ida Shockley

SOUTH PITTSBURG — Ida Roberta Shockley (Ms. Bert), 83, passed away. April 24, 2019, at Parkridge Medical Center. Ida was born Sept. 25, 1935, to the parents of the late Robert Shockley, Sparta, Tenn. and the late Edna Mauberry, Cleveland, OH. She was preceded in death by daughters, Ella (Tiny) Shedd Vance and Windi Johnson Hale, of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; brother, James Shockley, Sparta, Tenn.; sister, Diann Gossett, Cleveland, OH., and grandson, Chris Johnson, South Pittsburg, Tenn. Those left to cherish her memories are daughters Tammy Lankford and Goivonnie Johnson, South Pittsburg, Tenn.; sister, Anna Cross, Cleveland, OH. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT. The funeral will be Monday, April 29, 2019, at 2 p.m. CDT at Mount Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in South Pittsburg, TN. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN. Arrangements entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC in Jasper, TN.
