If you're one of those people who must craft the perfect Instagram bio, here's some good news: You can now link to other accounts and hashtags in that very section. The platform, which recently announced that users now have the ability to follow hashtags, said in a press release that this new feature will give users "new ways to stay connected with the interests, hobbies, passions, and communities you care about."

This isn't the only recent Instagram update that should be on your radar. Earlier this week the company announced that certain accounts will now have no need for the Repost app; any public Instagram post — excluding Stories and posts from private accounts — can now be added to your own personal Story with just a few taps inside the app.

To try out the new link-in-bio feature, just tap on "Edit Profile" and go to the bio section. When you type a # or @, you will see a list of recommended hashtags and accounts in the typeahead. Once you select the hashtags and accounts you want to be featured, they will automatically be linked to in your bio. Just know that when you mention someone else’s profile in your bio, that account holder will receive a notification and can choose to remove the link if they don't want to be featured.

If you're looking for a few suggestions of hashtags to add to your sacred profile, Instagram suggests #vegan, #sketching, and, of course, #unicornhair. We might also suggest adding #DontHateTheShake, #BeautyConfessions, or #PrettyLipsPeriod to the list as well.
