Thanksgiving drivers could expect lower gas prices in Illinois

If you're planning a road trip in Illinois over Thanksgiving, you're in luck with some of the latest gas trends.

According to reports from AAA, the average cost of unleaded gas in Illinois is $2.57 per gallon. This price is not only below national average of $2.61, but around 13 cents cheaper than last year over Thanksgiving week.

Illinois gas prices have also dropped about 30 cents per gallon compared to last month. The state's average gas price has reached its lowest mark since March.

In Rockford, drivers can find gas as cheap as $2.46 per gallon as of Tuesday with an average around $2.60, according to
