Homeless Man Freezes To Death On Charleston Porch: Reports

Temperatures in Charleston fell​ to 11 degrees overnight according to the National Weather Service.

CHARLESTON, WV — A homeless man reportedly froze to death on the front porch of a home in Charleston on New Years' Eve amid a bitter cold snap making its way across the country.

Police were called to the home in the city's West Side neighborhood just before noon on Sunday and found the man, news outlets said. The home is located on the 1800 block of 7th Avenue.

It wasn't immediately known how long the man had been outside. His name and age weren't released.
