UNIOPOLIS, Ohio (WDTN) – The Auglaize County Sheriff says three men are now accused of killing a man in June 2014.

An Auglaize County grand jury indicted them for the murder of Charles Hicks, 54. Hicks was found dead in his South Main Street apartment in the Village of Uniopolis.

Aaron Dietrich, Sr., 26, of Wapakoneta is charged with two counts of aggravated murder and one count each of aggravated robbery, kidnaping and intimidation of a witness.

Joseph Furry, 30, of Van Wert, and James Dinsmore, 28, are charged with same counts as Dietrich.

“Everyone worked hard on this from the start to find those responsible and I am very pleased. There is more work to be done but having the people responsible for these crimes in custody is the first step in protecting the public and bringing justice to the victim and his family,” said Sheriff Al Solomon.

All three men are being held in jail.
