Second-Annual Greenwood High School Hot Rods Classic Announced

The second year of the tournament will feature Greenwood High

Bowling Green, KY- The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and 2018 Midwest League Champions, are excited to announce the return of the Greenwood High School Hot Rods Classic, sponsored by Double Dogs and Zaxby's. The second year of the tournament will feature Greenwood High School, Grayson County High School, Highlands High School (Fort Thomas, KY) and Ohio County High School on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23.
The round-robin style tournament will begin on Friday with a 5:30 PM first pitch as Greenwood High School takes on Grayson County. In the second game of the night, beginning at 8:00 PM, Highlands High will play Ohio County.
Saturday's action will feature four games, beginning with a 10:00 AM match-up between Greenwood High School and Highlands High School, the KHSAA state runnerup in 2018. Highlands will take on Grayson County at 12:30 PM with Grayson playing
their final game of the tournament against Ohio County at 3:00 PM. The Hot Rods Classic will wrap-up with a 5:30 PM first pitch with host school Greenwood taking on Ohio County.
"We're so excited to have the Hot Rods Classic back for 2019," said Hot Rods GM/COO Eric C. Leach. "Greenwood is a great host and we can't wait to watch the high-quality baseball that these teams will bring to Bowling Green."
Tickets will be available beginning on Friday, March 22, the first day of the tournament. Adult tickets will be $7 for a day pass and $5 for kids 18-years-old and under.
Concessions will also be available. The Hot Rods open their 11th season in southcentral Kentucky on Saturday, April 6th
