Jay C. Klick, 81, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at his home in Lititz. He was born in Lewisburg, PA, on February 21, 1935 to the late George and Ruth (Drager) Klick.
Jay graduated from Slatington High School, Muhlenberg College and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He was ordained by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in May 1960. He served parishes in Womelsdorf, Springtown, Durham, Easton, Alburtis and Kingston. Over the course of his career, he served the greater church on various boards and committees within the Northeast, PA Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Jay is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra; sons: Jonathan and wife Kim, and Stephen and wife Tracy; and two grandchildren: Jason and Andrea.
A Service of Thanksgiving for Jay's life and service to the Church will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11AM at St. Edward's Episcopal Church, 2453 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17604.
