Minnesota Vikings owners Mark and Zygi Wilf and the Wilf family have started a new Manhattan-based fund to invest in companies in the sports, entertainment and real estate industries.

Wilf Innovative Sports & Entertainment Ventures, or WISE, will focus on early and growth stage investment opportunities in those industries. WISE has invested in multiple companies to date, according to a company press release.

“We have a passion for investing in, and collaborating with, next-gen companies who are on the leading edge of ideas that can ultimately enhance people’s lives,” Mark Wilf said in a statement.

Companies in WISE’s current portfolio include:

  • Latch, a smart access system that provides entry to every door in a modern building.
  • SportsHub Games Network, a game content provider that distributes real money fantasy sports games and contests.
  • Tonal, an at-home digital strength-training system that combines expert-led videos and personalized guidance for full body workouts.

WISE is also seeking opportunities in streaming media, data analytics, fitness and health technologies, gaming and communications platforms.

Brian Cargo, a member of SportsHub’s board of directors, will oversee the day-to-day operation of WISE.

Wilf ventures in Minnesota beyond the Minnesota Vikings include a 17-story apartment building the Wilf-owned Garden Homes has proposed to build at 240 Park Ave. S. in downtown Minneapolis.
