Help! Getting Sram GXP cranks to work with BB386 bb?

Hey Guys,

I'm helping a buddy build a tri bike from the ground up and we've hit a couple snags... Long story short, we nearly completed the build and realized the frame was way too large for him so we just purchased a NEW frame a size down. (A 51cm tri frame is a different beast geometry-wise than a 51cm road frame... major oversight on our part haha)

Our current challenge is the new frame has a BB386 bottom bracket but we already purchased a Quarq DFour power meter and crankset that is only compatible with SRAM GXP.

The frame: https://www.orbea.com/us-en/bicycles/ordu-m10-team-18
The cranks/PM (we got the GXP): https://www.quarq.com/product/quarq-...yarrbaipy8ljle .

What will it take to get these to work together? We obviously need to buy a new bottom bracket, but should we buy a bb386 or a bb30? It looks like they are interchangeable?

Also, will this adapter help make this work? Adapter GXP Sram crank to BB386 frame

Edit: Would this BB be an easier solution? https://www.amazon.com/FSA-BB86-Bott.../dp/B00KC52T3Y

Thanks in advance for your help!

Either one should work fine with GXP - I would find out which system is more painful or expensive to replace worn bearings. The BB86 to EVO is $66, while a new PF30 is only $30. I can't find much information about that second adapter, which is not a good thing moving forward. The other adapter is far more standard.
