A condominium in Middletown's Bancroft on the Bluffs, Unit 6 at 575 Tuckerman Ave., sold for $1.9 million on Sept. 15, according to Leslie Hogan of Hogan Associaties in Newport. Hogan said the sale was the highest price recorded so far this year in Rhode Island for a condominium property.

Hogan represented the seller. Jan Corbin of Lila Delman Real Estate International represented the buyers.

"Architect William Ralph Emerson designed the 5-story Arts & Crafts 'cottage' in 1895 for John Chandler Bancroft, a wealthy mine owner and patron of the arts," according to an announcement from Hogan Associates. "... In 1950, it was converted into apartments, and in 2006 it was renovated and divided into 10 luxury condos."

The Easton's Point neighborhood "has really taken off in the last few years," said broker Matt Hadfield, co-owner of Hogan Associates. "Bancroft on the Bluffs offers the only luxury condo option in a neighborhood full of beautiful single-family homes."

Former Lizzie Borden house on the market

A Queen Anne Victorian in Fall River that was sold to Lizzie and Emma Borden in 1893 is on the market once more.

Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty announced its listing of the Maplecroft mansion at 306 French St., Fall River for $849,900.

Commissioned in 1889 by Charles Allen, the house is in Fall River's Highlands District. Lizzie Borden resided in Maplecroft until her death in 1927.

The current owner has meticulously restored the 4,000-square-foot home. It has 8 bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and 6 fireplaces. The home is being offered for sale completely furnished and has a variance to operate as a bed and breakfast. The home has been a private residence since its restoration.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer this iconic Fall River property for sale," said Robert Rutley of Taylor & Associates, listing agents of the property with Mott & Chace.

East Greenwich home sold for $1.45M

A home in East Greenwich's Hill and Harbour District was sold Sept. 1 for $1.45 million, according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.

The agency said the sale of 50 Kenyon Ave. was the highest in the town so far in 2017, according to data from the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing service.

The sellers, Walter and Gina Martish, were represented by Erin Marsh, Mott & Chace sales associate, and the buyers, Edward and Donna Miccolis, were represented by agency broker/co-owner Judy Chace.

The 4,400-square-foot home is on more than 4 acres with a heated pool and a multi-sport court.
