Woman who crashed her car in Pompano Beach was shot several times, cops learned
It wasn’t the crash that killed a woman whose car struck a tree in Pompano Beach, it was gunshots, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash was reported about 3:19 a.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Northwest 27th Avenue, south of Sample Road.
Deputies initially thought the woman’s injuries were the result of the crash.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue took her to Broward Health North medical center where she was pronounced dead. However, doctors discovered that the woman suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, investigators said.
