After police raids across Wales, 21 people have appeared in court charged with more than 300 offences.

The appearances come after police uncovered 10 cannabis factories which had the potential to net more than £2m.

Police carried out the raids at several addresses in Cardiff, Aberdare, Llanelli and Swansea last Wednesday.

South Wales Police’s Force Intelligence and Organised Crime Unit – in conjunction with Gwent and Dyfed-Powys Police forces, the National Crime Agency and the UK Border Agency – executed warrants at 15 addresses across the region.

Those arrested include a 14-year-old boy from Aberdare, charged with five counts of conspiring to produce cannabis and one count of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

The following all appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, December 2, and were remanded in custody.

Addresses in Cardiff

  • Hiue Quang Pham, 28, of Machen Place, Cardiff, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, possession of cannabis, and possession of cannabis with the intent to supply
  • Van Lang Tran, 22, of Wyndham Place, Cardiff, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, possession of a Class B drug, and possession of a Class B drug with the intent to supply
  • Xuan Le Truong, 30, of Diamond Street, Cardiff, charged with five counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, three counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, and possession of a Class B drug
  • Dung Van Vu, 25, of Teilo Street, Cardiff, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, possessing a Class B drug, and attempting to possess a Class B drug with the intent to supply
  • Toan Van Vu, 50, of Brithdir Street, Cardiff, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, attempting to possess a Class B drug, and attempting to possess a Class B drug with intent to supply

  • Thi Tham Dinh, 26, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug
  • Tran Van Giang, 30, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Bang Xuan Luong, 42, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Tuan Anh Pham, 18, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Vu Thi Thu Thuy, 40, of St James Park, Aberdare, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Dung Phu Vu, 34, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Ngocbao Vu, 20, of Cwrt Yr Afon, Aberdare, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • A 14-year-old boy from Aberdare, charged with five counts of conspiring to produce cannabis and one count of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • A 16-year-old boy from Aberdare, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Lan Dinh, 36, of Heol yr Ysgol, Llanelli, charged with 17 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, and one count of possessing cannabis with the intent to supply

  • Doan Duc Vu, 38, of Heol yr Ysgol, Llanelli, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, possession of cannabis, and possession of cannabis with the intent to supply

  • Quang Lam, 32, of Clos Yr Ysgol, Llanelli, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

Addresses in Ceredigion

  • An 18-year-old boy from Nantcwnlle, Ceredigion, charged with four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, attempting to possess a Class B drug with the intent to supply and attempting to possess a Class B drug

Addresses in Caerphilly

  • Toan Van Nguyen, 37, of St Fagans Street, Caerphilly, charged with 16 counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and eight counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

  • Tuan Van Doan, 32, of St Fagans Street, Caerphilly, charged with four counts conspiring to produce cannabis, two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class B drug with the intent to supply

Others

  • Hai Guang Dinh, 28, of no fixed address, charged four counts of conspiring to produce cannabis, and two counts of conspiring to supply a Class B drug

They will next appear at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on January 5th, 2018.
