ALEXANDER, N.D. -- A 89-year-old man from rural North Dakota, died after he was pinned between a fence post and a trailer near here on Friday, March 30.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jacob Heen, 33, was backing up a truck and trailer to a fence to load cattle in a pasture in rural McKenzie county around 10:40 a.m.
The older man became pinned between a fence post and the trailer and was seriously injured. He was first taken by a personal vehicle then Richland Ambulance to Sidney Health Center, where he died.
The Highway Patrol said the man’s name will likely be released on Sunday, April 1.
Both men are from rural western North Dakota, near the Montana border.

The accident occured about 20 southwest of Alexander, which is about 30 miles south of Williston.
