MOOSUP, Conn. (WTNH) — A Moosup man is facing charges after police say they found cocaine in his possession while conducting a traffic stop.
According to Connecticut State Police, 60-year-old Joseph Lombardy was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation. Police were granted permission to conduct a vehicle search where they, along with a K9 unit, say they located and seized 12 bags of crack cocaine pre-packaged for sale inside the vehicle.
Lombardy was then arrested and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Crack Cocaine With Intent to Sell.
Lombardy was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.
