TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) — All lanes of I-75 are back open in Tipp City after a crash late Tuesday night.

It happened on I-75 south between the exits for S.R. 571 and Benchwood Road around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a semi driving south on I-75 made an improper lane change, hitting a Pontiac Grand Am.

The Grand Am spun out, hit the concrete median and ended up in the middle of the interstate.

The driver of the semi helped the four people inside the Grand Am get out and move to the grass shoulder.

Moments later, another vehicle driving south on I-75 hit the disabled Grand Am. That vehicle ran off the road and ended up in a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle suffered a broken leg. Two women from the Grand Am suffered minor injuries. All three people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Troopers say the driver of the semi would be cited for improper lane change.

Authorities closed three lanes of I-75 for nearly an hour for crews to clean up debris from the crash.

All lanes had reopened by 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The crash remains under investigation.
