Boston will light up the sky in red, white and blue tonight for the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular.
The annual event will air live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston on CBS starting at 9 p.m. EST (8 p.m. CST) with host Nancy O'Dell of Entertainment Tonight. A live streaming audiocast of the show is available on www.cbsboston.com and on CBS All Access.
The event includes a concert with performances by Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and Little Big Town. The musical acts will be accompanied by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart.
This is the 43rd year for the free, outdoor July 4th concert, which is attended by more than half a million people. The event will first televised nationwide in 1990.
