West Chazy man sentenced to 19.5 years for burglary spree

A West Chazy, New York, man will serve nearly 20 years in prison for a burglary spree across Clinton County.

Scott Miller was arrested in January of last year for his involvement in 19 burglaries between November 2016 and January 2017. Authorities say he targeted a number of small businesses

After pleading guilty back in January Miller was sentenced last week in Clinton County Court to 19.5 years. He was also ordered to pay $5,700 in restitution.

Officials say the crimes were fueled by Miller's addiction to opiates.
