Troopers seek hit & run vehicle that killed pedestrian in Livingston Parish crash

Shortly after 3:00 am on September 19, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a hit and run fatality involving a pedestrian on LA 447 south of Interstate 12 in Livingston Parish.

The crash took the life of Kaycie Kidwell, 33, of Baton Rouge. Troopers are now asking for your assistance in locating the hit and run vehicle and driver.

The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Kidwell was walking along LA 447. For reasons still under investigation, Kidwell was struck by an unknown vehicle and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

Based on evidence collected at the scene, Troopers believe that the suspect vehicle is red and possibly sustained minor to moderate damage.
