ST. GEORGE, UT – SkyWest, Inc today reported 169,513 block hours in July 2016, compared to 183,039 block hours in July 2015, a decrease of 13,526 or 7.4%.

The net decrease was consistent with SkyWest’s fleet transition plan to improve the mix of aircraft in its fleet by adding new E175 aircraft, while reducing its 50-seat jets.

The year-over-year net change was primarily driven by approximately 6,700 additional block hours from its E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 20,200 block hours from its other aircraft types.
In July 2016, SkyWest’s dual class aircraft represented approximately 43% of SkyWest’s total block hour production for the month compared to approximately 38% for the month of July 2015.


SkyWest reported 1,149,722 block hours for year-to-date July 2016, compared to 1,231,186 block hours year-to-date July 2015, a decrease of 81,464, or 6.6%. This net change was primarily driven by approximately 53,000 additional block hours from its E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 134,500 block hours from its other aircraft types.

SkyWest had 101,935 departures in July 2016 compared to 109,016 in July 2015, a decrease of 7,081, or 6.5%. SkyWest generated 2.99 billion available seat miles (ASMs) for July 2016, compared to 3.21 billion ASMs for July 2015, or a 6.9% decrease. SAINT GEORGE, UT – SkyWest, Inc today reported 162,742 block hours in September 2015, compared to 183,852 block hours in September 2014, a decrease of 21,110, or 11.5%.

The net decrease was consistent with SkyWest’s fleet transition plan to improve the mix of aircraft in its fleet by adding new dual class aircraft to its fleet, while reducing its 50-seat and 30-seat aircraft.

The year-over-year net change was primarily driven by approximately 9,500 additional block hours from its additional 76-seat E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 28,000 block hours from fewer 50-seat jet (CRJ200s and ERJ135s/145s) and 30-seat turboprop (EMB-120) aircraft.

In September 2015, SkyWest’s dual class aircraft (CRJ700s, CRJ900s and E175s) represented approximately 39% of SkyWest’s total block hour production for the month compared to approximately 31% for the month of September 2014.

SkyWest reported 1,574,364 block hours for year-to-date September 2015, compared to 1,716,417 block hours through September 2014, a decrease of 142,053, or 8.3%. This net change was primarily driven by approximately 76,500 additional block hours from SkyWest’s 76-seat E175 aircraft and a decrease of approximately 209,000 block hours from fewer 50-seat jet (CRJ200s and ERJ135s/145s) and 30-seat turboprop (EMB-120) aircraft.

SkyWest had 98,005 departures in September 2015 compared to 110,142 in September 2014, a decrease of 12,137, or 11.0%. SkyWest generated 2.87 billion available seat miles (ASMs) for September 2015, compared to 3.13 billion ASMs for September 2014, or a 8.3% decrease.

ST. GEORGE, UT – SkyWest, Inc today reported a 3.7 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for November, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 4.0 percent compared to November 2013.

ST. GEORGE, UT – SkyWest, Inc today reported a 3.7 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for November, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 4.0 percent compared to November 2013. SkyWest also reported that passenger boardings for November decreased 3.3 percent to 4,549,930 compared to 4,706,176 for the same period last year. Load factor increased to 80.3 percent compared to 80.0 percent in November 2013. The combined airlines generated 2.4 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs were 3.0 billion. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 6.9 percent in departures to 106,018 for November compared to 113,932 for the same period last year.
