Terrence Howard accused of hiding earnings from ex-wife as she demands almost $500k in spousal support and legal fees

Terrence Howard has been accused of hiding his earnings from his ex-wife.

The 45-year-old actor has claimed he can't pay almost $500,000 in back spousal support and legal costs to ex-wife Michelle Ghent because he's only bringing in about $5,878 a month and his first wife Lori McMasters gets most of his earnings.

However, according to court documents obtained by TMZ, Michelle claims Terrence told her last year that he fabricated his debt to McMasters and told Ghent 'I am not gonna give you once cent'.

She is now claiming four-times married Terence made $1.3 million last year and has lucrative work lined up for the next two years.

Terrence was married to Lori from 1989 to 2003 and again from 2005 to 2007.

He was wed to Michelle for three years from 2010 (although they filed for divorce after one year) before marrying his current wife Miranda Howard in 2013.

While the Crash actor has no shortage of work - he has starred in numerous movies including The Butler, Iron Man and Their Eyes Were Watching God - he previously insisted he's cash poor because his first ex-wife gets first dibs on his paycheck, according to the New York Daily News.

He claimed in court documents earlier this year that all of his income is given directly to Lori, his first wife with whom he shares two children. Their eldest child is over 18 and has her own family.

Once McMasters' expenses are covered, he alleged, she cuts Howard a check, which leaves him with just $5,878 a month.

The actor provided these embarrassing financial details when he requested a judge to throw out the settlement with Ghent.

Additionally, the actor is claiming Ghent extorted and blackmailed into signing the spousal support agreement.

Their short-lived marriage was extremely contentious, with Ghent claiming the 6' actor 'sucker punched' and 'kicked her.'

He is now remarried to Miranda, after knowing her for a month.

Howard was last seen on the screen with co-star Amy Adams in the film Lullaby, which was released in June to poor reviews.

He has a supporting role in the upcoming Fox drama Wayward Pines, starring his Crash co-star Matt Dillon. The series debuts in February.
