Beverly Maxine Weber, 85, of Mechanicsville, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church by Pastor Barbara Krueger. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral & Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
Beverly was born south of Tipton, Iowa, on April 14, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Velma (Yeater) Taylor. She attended school in Waterloo and Mechanicsville, graduating from there in 1948. She married William Zerbe in 1948. He died in 1951. Beverly then married LuVerne Weber in 1954. He died in 1996.
She was a homemaker and also a secretary for Weber Brothers Con-struction. Beverly was active in the Mechanics-ville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America and Heritage Agency on Aging. She also was past president of the Cedar County American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include seven children, Alan "Butch" (Rita) Zerbe of Mechanics-ville, William "Bill" (Debbie) Zerbe of Mechanicsville, Glen (Christine) Weber of Mechanicsville, Douglas (Connie) Weber of Mechanicsville, Wendy (Everett Husmann) Weber of Clarence, Sherie (Dean) Paup of Mechanicsville and Cheryl (Donald Kamerling) Weber of Mechanicsville; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Leonard of Ely; and brother, Walter (Bonnie) Taylor of Swisher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both spouses; brother, James Taylor; and a grandson, William Zerbe III.
Memorials are suggested to the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church and Mechanicsville Library.
