TMH Golden Gala to feature John Legend

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare's 32nd annual Golden Gala will feature Grammy Award-winner John Legend as the musical guest.

The 2015 Gala will take place April 23 in the Leon County Civic Center. The high-society event typically attracts about 1,500 people.

The Golden Gala has been a tradition in Tallahassee since it was created by the TMH Foundation in 1984 and has raised millions in funds for the hospital. Last year's guest was country music group Lady Antebellum.

TMH CEO Mark O'Bryant said funds from the Gala go toward community expansion and raising awareness of the hospital's, "Transforming care, advancing health and improving lives" mission.

"This is a huge event," he said. "We have a lot of events sponsored by our Foundation, but this is kind of the marquee event. Not only do we bring it nice acts that draw people to the event, but it really gives us a chance to draw people into the mission of the hospital."
