Courtney Stodden Bravely Says #MeToo For The First Time - & Hints That She May Sue!

Like many women in Hollywood, Courtney Stodden has a #MeToo story to share.
On Monday, the blonde reality TV vet stopped by The Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro, where she opened up about the abuse she’s survived and her current divorce to husband Doug Hutchison. Not only that, but Courtney also offered up a warning to any 16 year olds who are considering tying the knot.

Looks like Courtney is an open book these days — which probably has something to do with the fact that, she’s currently penning a memoir. So let’s dive into Stodden’s poignant admissions (below)…
While discussing the revolutionary women’s rights movement, host Undergaro asked Courtney if she faced “any me too experiences in [her] young career?” The 23-year-old bravely responded:

“Yes. I–I haven’t talked about it yet but, yeah.”

When pressed for a few more details, the blonde stunner shared that the assault she survived was related to both “power and sex.” On why she’s now speaking out, Courtney explained:

“Well, I am coming out with a book. I am working on a book right now as well. So you know, I–I may considers lawsuits or not but ya, that’s all I can say right now.”

Sadly, Stodden has experienced sexual assault on more than one occasion, and didn’t realize she was abused until she began reading different #MeToo accounts. She continued:

“When the first incident happened, I, you know, didn’t tell him [Doug Hutchison]. It was actually during the first time we separated. Um, you know, it actually happened to me two times when we were separated. And um, you know, I didn’t tell him, you know it happened. You know? And at that age, ya know, I was only 19, you know, when my first experience happened. And, um, I didn’t really think it was wrong, which is the crazy part. You know, um, I felt like, ok, well ‘that’s what, that’s how sex is.’ You know, I only had sex with one man before that; that was, you know, Doug. So gentle, not to get explicit. But, you know, I was like, ok, maybe that’s just rough was of, you know, going on a date and there ya go, ya know? I really didn’t realize it was, you know, sexual abuse, um, until, you know, I started hearing these women talking…it wasn’t until Me Too started that I was like, ‘wow maybe that wasn’t ok’ you know?”

Poor thing. And for those critics who have something to say about Courtney’s sexualized persona, Stodden wants to remind you that she’s doing an act. In fact, Courtney has decided to drop her Anna Nicole Smith/Marilyn Monroe inspired identity:

“I put on this act, of like, you know, this like, ‘Anna Nicole, and I married this old man…I’ve grown so much now… .At 23, I decided I’m not gonna play this anymore. You know? I’m gonna go and be myself, because I don’t want to end up like that…I hid under that and I feel like maybe these women did as well, because you’re insecure, you know, you don’t know how to deal with all this attention, and, but then you’re addicted to the attention because you lack the love in your life that you wish you had.”

Makes sense to us. Still, it seems that Stodden had genuine love for Doug, as she believes they’d likely still be together if they weren’t in the public eye. Nonetheless, marrying at such a young age heavily impacted both Hutchison and Stodden’s lives.
Per Courtney, their marriage left them almost “destitute” at one point. Thus, the animal rights activist fears her estranged love blames his dead career on her. So sad.
