QUEENS — Motorists heading to JFK Airport faced delays for several hours Monday morning following a crash on the Van Wyck Expressway.

A motor vehicle crash forced the closure of all inbound lanes, and travelers were advised to access the airport using JFK Expressway, according to a tweet from the airport at 6:17 a.m.

Traffic appeared to be backed up to Atlantic Avenue at the time.

The thoroughfare was reopened by 10:40 a.m.
